For our growing senior population, the arts provide a way to nourish people's minds, bodies, and souls...and most importantly it gives people a voice when that voice is compromised by memory loss. This banner is a visual expression of the ADSC's interpretation of the word "empower," thanks to the Creative Aging Workshop developed by Jameson Baxter, ArtsQuest. People with memory loss ranging in age from 54-99 years old all took part in this project which sparked creativity, laughter, and socialization.
