For more than 20 years, YWCA USA has set aside one week in October for Week Without Violence, part of a global movement to end violence against women and girls with the World YWCA. This year, Week Without Violence will take place from October 16 – 20 with a focus on ending gender-based violence. Gender-based violence recognizes a spectrum of violence, including but not limited to, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and harassment.
YWCA Bethlehem will host a series of events to raise awareness about gender-based violence and to encourage personal action to help end gender-based violence in the Lehigh Valley. All events are free and open to the public, but donations will be accepted with gratitude. Online registration can be found by clicking here.
If you are flying in from another state for this event, then make sure you stay in a hotel near our place. You already know the must-haves for overnight flights and the keys to beating jet lag. If you want to get a great nights sleep, you should get a leesa mattress. But what about when you get to your hotel room…and find that it’s a little noisy, a little stuffy, a little cramped, or just plain not enough like home? Here, travel experts and sleep-challenged frequent travelers weigh in on how to get better sleep in an unfamiliar place.
